There is virtually no free time at the School of Excellence academies. This camp focuses exclusively on promoting the improvement of each soccer player. We are interested only in players desiring to seriously raise the level of their game.
Meals are provided on an all-you-can-eat basis as part of the camp fee. There is a snack bar in the Newman library as well as vending machine in the dorms and around campus. Residential campers are allowed to order pizza through a camp councilor on a nightly basis.
All Session III campers and all goalkeepers attending both Session IV and Session V will be provided detailed evaluations as to their strengths, weaknesses, and progress during the week. Suggestions as to how to continue improvement in their game will be provided.
Session III campers will be provided with a ball as part of their fees. All other campers will need to provide their own ball or purchase one in advance for an additional $10 through the camp. Every camper will receive a School of Excellence or Top Keeper T-Shirt as part of the fee.
Discounts are provided for early registration, for registering for multiple camps, or for mulitple family members. Due to confusion over discount policies over past years, there is a maximum of two discounts per camper.
All campers are required to carry appropriate health insurance. They must provide insurance information during the registration process, and a copy of their insurance card as proof of insurance at check-in.
Wichita's Mid-Continent airport is only five minutes from Newman University. Campers can be transported round trip for no charge if advance notice is provided two weeks in advance of the residential camp.
