The School of Excellence residential camp is designed for the serious soccer player – whether beginning or advanced. Camp time is dedicated to learning and improving he campers’ knowledge and application of soccer skills and tactics. Intensive training will provided addressing attacking tactics, defending tactics, speed of play, combination play, crossing and finishing, defending in terms of pressure, cover, balance and technique, the emphasis of possession in each third of the field, and restarts. Technical training will emphasize the importance of the first touch, individual attacking and dribbling, shooting, receiving the ball in various positions, as well as individual defensive techniques.
- All boys will reside in the air-conditioned residence halls where the coaching staff and counselors will supervise all aspects of dorm life. In order to guarantee a roommate you must pre-register by May 31.
- All campers must be covered by their own health insurance policy. Insurance information must be supplied on the application.
- On site registration will start at 1:00 PM Monday July 8 and continue until completed. You must be pre-enrolled with deposit pre-paid to complete registration. There will be a short orientation meeting after registration. Training will begin immediately following the meeting.
- Camp checkout will be at 12:00 Noon on Thursday July 11 following final tournaments and awards ceremonies.
- All resident campers are provided with dinner on Monday; breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Tuesday,Wednesday and Thursday; and breakfast on Thursday. Commuters will receive dinner on Monday, and lunch and dinner on Tuesday and Wednesday. Resident campers may order Pizza nightly through the camp staff at the camper's expense.
- All campers are provided with a ball and camp T-shirt. No refunds for early departure. Further schedule details provided on enrollment.
