Session III June 26-28, 2017 Boys/Girls Goalkeeping Camp Ages 9-19
2017 marks the 30th year of the Top Keeper Academy, now held exclusively in Wichita. Many of the keepers who have attended the academy have gone on to become starters at their high school, club, and collegiate teams. Current participants are receiving offers to NCAA Division 1 and Division 2 universities. Coach Brown personally takes the goalkeepers through the intricacies of goalkeeping, providing insight into the position that few other trainers are capable of.
The Top Keeper Soccer Academy is designed for all levels. Keepers will be grouped according to age, technical ability, and experience. The camp runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday June 26 through Wednesday June 28. The first two days are dedicated to developing and polishing technical skills and tactical knowledge. The final day puts the keepers in small sided game situations to further apply these skills and tactics in realistic situations. Campers will need to provide their own lunch each day.
Session IV June 28 Boys & Girls Shoot & Save Ages 8-18
The Shoot-&-Save Academy broadens the depth of training for goalkeepers. It is on Wednesday June 28. It runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Campers will need to provide their own lunch. This camp provides the opportunity for goalkeepers to apply the techniques and tactics learned during the previous three days through the use of shooting circuits and small sided games. Field players benifit from active shooting circuits and small sided games.
